Listen To My Heartbeat♥
Lub.. dub.. lub.. dub.. ♥
The rumour has now been confirmed, the prize giving ceremony for the blog competition is going to be held next week on Tuesday. Just a mere week from now, and the waiting will be over! I am super-duper excited!!
Unfortunately me, myself will not be able to attend as I am not even in Malaysia at the moment. But fear not as my parents will be there! Hooray for mama & papa for being wonderful and extra-supportive (and the fact that if I win anything less than RM1000, they can keep the money! LOL!).
So, may the best blogger wins! We are all winners honestly so don't worry too much. The past few months have been great joy and fun. To all bloggers who are going this Tuesday, all the best and if you see my parents, say hi to them for me:)

Time to Say Goodbye
Finally, 75 posts! I had no idea that it would take me this long to get this blog done! I am so thoroughly exhausted and I think I know more about Terengganu than anyone else on planet earth! LOL! But honestly, it has been a lot of pure fun. I had a great time rediscovering Terengganu and more so, writing about this blessed land I called my home. I am relieved that I am able to get it done in time but feel a tad bit sad that this is it. It is bittersweet.
I came home last May with a broken heart and a battered soul after something devastated happened to me. I was depressed and in despair until the day I stumbled upon about the blog competition in the newspaper. My mum thought it would be an excellent idea for me to enter it just for me to have something to focus on and I did need a break from being a medical student. It was like God's answer to my prayers. Since then, this blog kept my mind and body occupied and helped me in finding myself again. I went out to see friends when that was the last thing I wanted to do, just to get the materials for the next entry. I challenged myself to go out and see the world when all I wanted to do was to stay in bed all day long.
I am not exaggerating when I say that this blog helps me to recover my spirit to fight again. It is good to have something worth fighting for. Endless hours of updating the blog and taking pictures rewarded me with a sense of achievement. It doesn't matter whether I win or not, I already feel like a winner.
Unfortunately it will be rather impossible for me to update this blog regularly from now on as medical school is my top priority at the moment and the fact that I'm already back in Aberdeen not Terengganu anymore. Nevertheless I will still try to update from time to time. Honestly there are a lot more about Terengganu that I have not written yet.
I would like to thank everyone for the unconditional support. Ma, thank you for being a loyal reader, driver and grammar-checker. I could never do this without you. I would also like to thank the rest of the family - especially my aunts for the endless encouragements (a special shout to my dearest uncle, Ayah De;D). A special thanks to the Terengganu Tourism Blog Competition committee for giving me the opportunity and the medium to spread my love towards Terengganu. To everyone else whom I have not mentioned, you know who you are, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.
Last but definitely not least, you the readers! Thank you for staying with me until the end. I hope you're having as much fun as I do and see you in Terengganu!

Terengganu Fried Ice-cream
One of the best food courts in Terengganu is the one in Batu Buruk Beach. It is a pleasant outdoor food center just few yards away from the beach. Your visit here would be incomplete without trying the famous local ais-krim goreng (fried ice cream).
In Malaysia, fried ice cream is founded here and became famous throughout the country. It is basically a scoop of ice cream coated with batter and then deep-fried. The taste and texture stimulate every sense of your tongue -it's cold and hot, sweet and savoury. It is slightly expensive than your normal sundaes but every spoonful is definitely worth it.
Taman Kuang Ajil - Pheasant Paradise
The park is located in impressive 1.7 acres year and every year these pheasant birds hatch to hundreds of them. With this, Kuang Ajil Park is not only Malaysia's but the world's biggest community of pheasants.

This park will give you the real close encounters with the rarest pheasants which are parts of the most beautiful birds' family from all over the world. It opens everyday from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. The entrance fees are RM 6 for adult and RM 4 for kids.

Yak Yah's Fireflies Sanctuary -The Nature Symphony of Lights
Yak Yah River is recently discovered as the home to one of the biggest firefly colonies in Malaysia. Located about only 30 minutes from the town of Chukai, Kemaman, thousands, if not millions of fireflies get together, creating a wondrous symphony of lights that is a sight to remember. The best time to see the dazzling display of lights is between the months of July until September which is the mating season.
It will cost you around RM 25 per head for a 30-minute boat ride to see the fireflies along the 13 km length of the river. The best place to appreciate this natural wonder is around 5 km from the jetty. Almost everyday as dusk fell, there will be flickering fireflies along the river lighting up the trees just like Christmas trees. It is like being in an entire different world, untouched by civilization.
